Building Back Better is a United Nations program strategy aimed at reducing the risk to the people of nations and communities in the wake of future disasters and shocks. And that is excactly what we must do - NOW! So, what is the role and responsibilities of the corporate sector? Has the pandemic pushed the fast forward button for more conscious, collaborative and compromizing investors, board directors and top managers?
Organized by Aftenposten and Futureboards, with the Financial Times as media partner, the objective of the conference is to exchange knowledge, thoughts and opinions on the roles, skills and mind-sets future corporate leaders should have. Attendees will learn from each other and from renowned experts what boards and top managers need to do to stay relevant and effective in this period of dramatic change.
The traditional capitalistic growth model, that has been a zero-sum game for people and the planet, is increasingly being questioned. As Financial Times puts it: Capitalism – it’s time for a reset.
Therefore, at the first Leading for the Future that took place in Oslo on 4 February 2020, we called for a board room revolution to secure long-term value creation for all. Then came Covid-19 and pressed the fast-forward button.
We are now in the midst of a mega shift that requires a whole new set of skills, and even more important; a shift of mind-set of those in charge.
Join us at the 2nd Leading for the Future conference to get insight and knowledge on how companies need to be governed in a far more volatile and unpredictable world than we have seen to date.
