There is a growing, universal acceptance that both men and women should contribute to corporate governance – in line with the growing body of research confirming that more balanced boards make more balanced decisions. Therefore, the discussion is increasingly moving from WHY women should be board directors, to HOW to achieve a reasonable gender balance.
At the event, we took a closer look at the state of play of the gender balance in the corporate sector. We explored similarities and differences experienced by women and business leaders in Thailand and in Norway. By allowing the exchange of ideas and sharing of experiences, the event aimed to explore ways to how we can move the needle – within a reasonable timeframe. And more importantly: We asked what is the role of investors and boards, and how can they, and how should they contribute.
The event is hosted by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Bangkok, and it is organised by FutureBoards.
Attendance by personal invitation only.
